FIRST NATIONAL TRAINING ON SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT HELD
The Network for Rural Development of Serbia realized a two-day national training on agroecology from 24 - 26.7.2024 in Crni vrh on Stara planinina. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the following topics:
- Sustainable food systems;
- Agroecology practices and benefits in sustainable food systems;
- Systems of sustainable agricultural production;
- EU agenda in sustainable agriculture;
- Analyzes of best practices in agroecology;
- Agricultural productivity - food security;
- Climate change and the need for adaptation.
There were 15 participants from all over Serbia at the training.
Participants also had the opportunity to meet local residents and exchange experiences on sustainable agriculture.
The training is the first in a series of 4 planned trainings at the national level.
The training was implemented within the regional project "Academy from farm to fork for the green Western Balkans - our common European future", financed by the European Commission.
