Training "Green economy and entrepreneurship "
In the period from 13th to 15th March 2020 in the hotel "Liders" in Vrnjacka Banja was held a program specific training on the topic "Green economy and entrepreneurship ".
The training was conducted within the Networking and Advocacy for Green Economy project (NAGE) which is financed by the European Union, where the Network for rural development of Serbia is one of the partners.
Training was attended by 20 representatives of CSOs from Serbia. Training was provided by trainers Aleksandra Velimanović (Nimbus - Loznica) and Marko Cvijnović (RC Sova - Sremska Mitrovica) - members of the Network for rural development of Serbia, which have undergone training on this topic in Skopje.
The training was realized in several sessions in order to present all aspects related to Green economy and entrepreneurship to the participants:
- clarification of the term "green economy",
- description of the state of environment and why green economy,
- principals of green economy and entrepreneurship,
- green economy and CSOs,
- assessment of green economy policies, modeling and green industry,
- development of an action plan for a green economy.
In addition to the theoretical part of the training, the participants in the group work defined the role of CSOs in "greening" all spheres of society, assessing green economy policies and modeling the green industry. Divided into 3 groups, with the assistance of trainers, the participants participated in the development of action plans for the green economy.
In addition to the theoretical and practical part of the training, the trainers presented to the participants examples of good practice of green economy from Serbia:
- Special nature reserve "Zasavica"
o breeding of old autochthonous animal varieties from this area (mangulas, buffaloes, Balkan donkeys, ) which represent genetic resources, enrich the tourist offer, use for food products, and at the same time State give subsidies to preserve this animals,
o mini Zoo,
o catering that relies on the use of traditional local product,
o cooperation with the local population,
o eco-touristic facilities (bird watching, driving with boat, photo safari, hiking, educating children and young people…),
o Creation of brand and added value.
- "Sunny River" in Gornja Koviljača
o development of sustainable tourism through education and valorization of the natural and cultural-historical values of the area,
o networking of community members and their involvement in sustainable development.
The participants actively participated in the work and through discussion shared their experiences on the topic of green economy and entrepreneurship.
