SECOND CONSULTATIVE MEETING WITH ACTORS IN THE VINEYARD AND WINE VALUE CHAIN HELD
The Network for Rural Development of Serbia, in the continuation of the consultative process with actors in the value chain of the wine sector, continued to assess the situation in the value chain with small wine producers and other actors.
The second consultative meeting was held on November 23, 2024. in Paraćin. The participants, together with the representatives of the Network, conducted a value chain analysis, a SWOT analysis, along with the definition of possible solutions and recommendations.
The participants singled out as one of the key problems that, compared to the first half of the 20th century, a significant area under vines was lost. In recent years, there has been a development of the wine sector in Paraćin and neighboring municipalities.
The value chain of viticulture and winemaking in the area of the Paraćina vineyard is characterized by small family grape producers and several wineries that independently produce and market their wines.
The meeting was attended by 14 participants from the area of Paraćin and the Network for Rural Development of Serbia.
The consultative meeting was realized within the framework of the projects "Academy Farm to Fork for the green Western Balkans - our common European future", co-financed by the European Union and "Active youth - dialogue on Green Agriculture policies and the experience of the EU Common Agricultural Policy" co-financed by the Ministry of European integration of the Republic of Serbia.
