Rural development

On November 28, 2017, a workshop was held in Vršac on the topic “LEADER approach as an instrument of rural development at the local level”. The workshop was organized within the framework of the project "ALTER - Active Local Territories for Economic Development of Rural Areas" funded by the European Union, as part of the activities "Promotion and support to the implementation of the LEADER approach". The project is implemented at the national level by the Network for rural development of Serbia.

On November 27, 2017, in Novi Sad a workshop on the topic “LEADER approach as an instrument of rural development at the local level” was held. On November 24, 2017, a workshop on the topic “LEADER approach as an instrument of rural development at the local level” was held in Sremska Mitrovica. The workshop was organized within the framework of the project "ALTER - Active Local Territories for Economic Development of Rural Areas" funded by the European Union, as part of the activities "Promotion and support to the implementation of the LEADER approach". The project is implemented at the national level by the Network for rural development of Serbia.

On October 20, 2017, a meeting on the topic “Youth in Rural Areas” was held in Vrsac. The meeting was attended by young people from the rural areas from the Vrsac area (mostly students of the secondary agricultural school "Vrsac"), representatives of the youth from the vicinity of Nis, representatives of PSS "Agrozavod" from Vrsac, and the professors from the secondary agricultural school "Vrsac".

On September 26^th, 2017, a consultative meeting on the topic “Supporting farmers' networking by models recognized in EU” was held in Brodarevo. The meeting was attended by representatives of local institutions, CSOs, as well as people from local communities who are interested in this topic.

On September 21, 2017 in Svrljig a meeting on the topic “Improving the position of women in rural areas” was held. The meeting was attended by representatives of women's associations from the vicinity of Nis and Svrljig, representatives of women's associations from Vrsac and Veliko Gradiste, representatives of local institutions, as well as women from local communities interested in this topic.

On August 25, 2017, in Kraljevo was held meeting on which was presented the work of the Network for Rural Development of Serbia, as well as the planned activities of the Network for the coming period. The meeting was attended by representatives of member organizations of the Network for Rural Development of Serbia, as well as CSOs dealing with rural development.

On May 3rd, 2017, a consultative meeting on the topic “Improving information of farmers, as well as improving the decision makers and small producers' dialogue regarding the establishment of adequate procedures for the sale of traditional products” was held in Ljig. The meeting was attended by representatives of local institutions, CSOs, as well as people from local communities who are interested in this topic.

On May 3rd, 2017, a consultative meeting on the topic “Improving information of farmers, as well as improving the decision makers and small producers' dialogue regarding the establishment of adequate procedures for the sale of traditional products” was held in Ljig. The meeting was attended by representatives of local institutions, CSOs, as well as people from local communities who are interested in this topic.

On April 28th, 2017, a consultative meeting was held in Sremska Mitrovica on the following topics:

- Improving farmers 'information, as well as improving the decision makers and small producers' dialogue regarding the establishment of adequate procedures for the sale of traditional products

- Advocating better support of local self-governments for rural tourism development and linking service providers with promoters of tourism
