The project "Academy from field to table for a green Western Balkans - our common European future" has started
The Network for Rural Development of Serbia, in cooperation with 6 other networks for rural development in the Balkans, has started the implementation of the project "Academy from field to table for a green Western Balkans - our common European future" funded by the European Union.
The project has the following objectives:
• Strengthen the capacities of CSOs in the sustainable food and livelihood system through the regional "From Field to Table Academy".
• Introducing innovative, green and inclusive solutions for sustainable food systems and livelihoods.
• Further strengthening of the contribution and influence of national rural networks/BRDN in the processes of making policies and decisions and the agenda at the national and regional level by improving the process of implementation/alignment with the EU.
The target groups are:
• Grassroots CSOs active in rural development and agricultural sector, environmental and biodiversity protection across 6 Wetern Balkan countries, trained at regional and national level by F2F Academy
• Young farmers aged 18-40 (30% women) as participants in good practice demonstration workshops led by teachers and F2F Oscars
• Rural stakeholders and consumers (farmers, rural youth and women, ethnic and minority groups, rural entrepreneurs, start-ups, producer groups, etc.) during project implementation
• Rural population and consumers; policy and decision makers at the local and national level; Agricultural and rural advisors; academic and research institutions, rural and agribusiness.
The project will be implemented from January 2023 to January 2027.
