SECOND NATIONAL TRAINING ON SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT HELD

The Network for Rural Development of Serbia realized a two-day national training on agroecology from 19 - 20.9. 2024 in Niš. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the following topics: Horticulture and horticultural production systems; The influence of major environmental factors on plant life and production performance; Crop nutrition - the most challenging task of agricultural producers; Visual recognition of deficiencies / excessive use of nutrient elements in horticultural crops; Tools and agricultural practices to reduce excessive use of synthetic fertilizers; Legume crops versus conventional use of synthetic fertilizers; Biofertilization versus conventional use of synthetic fertilizers.

There were 16 participants from all over Serbia at the training.

The training is the second in a series of 4 planned trainings at the national level.

The training was implemented within the regional project "Academy Farm to Fork for a green Western Balkans - our common European future", financed by the European Commission.
